September 21, 2012 — Dr. Colin G. Thomas, Jr. was awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the North Carolina Memorial Hospital.
The award is given by the Governor’s office to North Carolina residents in appreciation for their service and accomplishments. Former recipients include Maya Angelou, Billy Graham, and Michael Jordan.
