About
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I wanted a residency program that would prepare me to be a safe and competent surgeon. I was drawn to UNC as it is the flagship, tertiary institution that cares for North Carolina’s sickest and most complex patients. On my away rotation, I loved the residents, faculty, and collegial environment that UNC offers.
What inspired you to become a doctor/surgeon?
I was drawn to surgery because I value the immense trust patients and their families have in surgeons, creating a physician-patient relationship that I find personally fulfilling. I love being in the operating room as part of a team that is devoting all their effort and attention into caring for a single patient.
