What were you looking for in a residency program?
An academic safety net hospital with a welcoming culture and strong operative experience.
What inspired you to become a doctor/surgeon?
Seeing the close relationships surgeons developed with their patients while changing their health dramatically over a short period of time.
Favorite thing about UNC?
My co-residents and the welcome I’ve received from my seniors, attendings, and everyone else at the hospital!
Favorite Surgery?
Sigmoidectomy
Fun Fact
I used to train llamas as a kid.
Hobbies
Finding the best ice cream, making cheese, traveling and reading about world history.
