On October 22, 2014, Dr. William Fischer, UNC’s expert on the Ebola disease, has spent time in Guinea taking care of patients afflicted with this disease. In an effort to help doctors at UNC evolve their understanding of the Ebola Virus after recent events in Texas, Dr. Fischer was able to provide a presentation to Surgery faculty and staff on the history of the disease and how to prepare if coming in contact with it.
