May 24, 2012 — Effective June 1, 2012, Dr. Sean Montgomery will assume the reins of directorship of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
He will succeed Dr. Renae Stafford, who directed the SICU for many years, leading the way in establishing a culture of quality and collaborative practice. Her efforts to make UNC a leader in surgical critical care are greatly appreciated.
