Megan Quintana, MD, a resident in the UNC Department of Surgery, won the George F. Sheldon, MD Surgical Research Award with her Basic Science oral presentation at the Nathan A. Womack Society meeting on Friday, May 15. Other winners of the presentations were Michael Eblan (Oral, Clinical Science), Jackie Carr (Poster, Basic Science), and Brendan Patterson (Poster, Clinical Science).
The main award is named for George F. Sheldon, MD, FACS, the late Chair of the UNC Department of Surgery who served from 1984-2001. More information can be found here.
