Evaluations
Evaluation for candidacy for kidney transplantation involves multiple outpatient studies and appointments. These studies include:

Nephrology evaluation

Social Worker evaluation (Psychologist if needed)

Transplant surgeon evaluation

Chest x-ray · Renal ultrasound

Electrocardiogram

Blood work (including hepatitis status and tissue typing)

Cardiac evaluation (with history of diabetes, cardiac disease, or age 45 and above)

PPD (Tuberculosis skin test)

PAP smear (females age 18 or older)

Mammogram (females age 45 and older) Additional testing may be required based on findings from the history or physical exam.
