The Division of Acute Care and Trauma Surgery has expanded its Multispecialty Surgery Clinic by opening the new Same-Day Surgery Clinic. This valuable addition offers expedited consultations and scheduling for patients with urgent and semi-elective general surgical needs. Through a referring provider, patients can get a consultation appointment the same day their referral is submitted.
This new expedited approach UNC has adopted will benefit patients who need expedited access to general surgery. The clinic is working in conjunction with the UNC Hillsborough campus to fast-track the process it takes for patients to receive consultation with general surgery. The Same-Day Clinic not only streamlines our internal surgery coordination process, but delivers significantly improved wait times for patients—reinforcing our commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
The clinic will be open from Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is located within The Multispecialty Clinic on the first floor of the N.C. Memorial Hospital (101 Manning Dr First Floor, Chapel Hill, NC 27514).
