About
Richard Natale II, MD, FACS is a board-certified urologist with extensive experience in men’s health and reconstructive urology. Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Natale grew up in a family of physicians, which shaped his early interest in medicine and patient care. He earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences with honors from the University of Southern California before attending medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine—his father’s alma mater—where he graduated in 2004.
Dr. Natale completed his urology residency at the University of Florida in 2009 and subsequently established a long-standing private practice in North Carolina. Over the past 16 years, he has provided comprehensive urologic care to patients in the Charlotte metropolitan area, including Concord and Mint Hill. His clinical expertise spans a broad range of urologic conditions, with a particular focus on sexual dysfunction and men’s health.
Dr. Natale has extensive experience in prosthetic urology, including penile implants for erectile restoration and male urethral slings and artificial urinary sphincters for continence restoration. He also specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Peyronie’s disease, low testosterone, urinary incontinence, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), with experience in advanced procedural therapies. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Natale is a strong advocate for men’s health, with particular emphasis on prostate cancer screening awareness and survivorship care following prostate cancer treatment.
Throughout his career, Dr. Natale has held leadership roles at the large urology group practice he was affiliated with, as well as the two hospital systems he worked in during his time in Charlotte. Past positions include president and board chair at Carolina Urology Partners, chief of surgery at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, and chair of the department of surgery and chief of the urology division at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
