About

Dr. Gopal Narang received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his urologic training at the University of North Carolina and then completed a fellowship in Endourology/Minimally invasive surgery at the Mayo clinic in Arizona. After his fellowship, Dr. Narang returned to UNC and joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology in 2022

Dr. Narang’s clinical interest include the medical and surgical management of BPH, stone disease and robotic and minimally invasive surgery. During his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Narang received focused training in advanced treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia, including Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) and minimally invasive surgical therapies.

Dr. Narang’s research interests include clinical outcomes research for BPH and stone disease.
