All events that offer college points will fall into one of 4 categories (with 4 subcategories):

Advisory College Points Tally

1. Wellness Events

2. College-Sponsored Events

  1. Competitive Events
  2. Participation Events

3. Individual-Sponsored Events

  2. Participation Events

4. Wellness Passport

Points will be awarded as follows:

1. Wellness Events

a. 10 points per person that attends plus:

1st place – 200 points

2nd place – 150 points

3rd place – 100 points

4th place – 75 points

5th place – 50 points

6th place – 25 points

2. College-Sponsored Events (events that are hosted by a particular college, aside from their wellness event)

A. Competitive Events – (Please note that competitions/events involving raising money or collecting items that must be purchased by a student are not eligible for College Points).

a. 5 points per person that attends plus:

1st place – 100 points

2nd place – 75 points

3rd place – 50 points

4th place – 30 points

5th place – 20 points

6th place – 10 points

B. Participation Events (e.g. Bone Marrow Drive, Brown Bag Lunches/PDX, Day of Service, etc.)

a. 10 points per person that attends

b. No additional points awarded

3. Individual-Sponsored Events (events that an individual/interest group/club/etc. hosts for college points) Please note that competitions/events involving raising money or collecting items that must be purchased by a student are not eligible for College Points.

A. Competitive Events (e.g. Relay for Life, MDA Muscle Walk)

a. 2 points per person that attends plus:

1st place – 50 points

2nd place – 25 points

3rd place – 10 points

B. Participation Events (e.g. Most 5ks, performances, etc.)

a. 5 points per person that attends

b. No additional points awarded

4. Wellness Passport Participation (MS1s only)

A. 20 points per MS1 that successfully completes 10/13 items on the passport.

The event coordinator will be responsible for emailing Sandy Williams after the event with numbers on how many participants were from each college and what places colleges came in (if applicable).
