What drew you to UNC?
When I was applying to residency, I wanted somewhere with diverse, high acuity cases and a close-knit, supportive culture. UNC fit these criteria perfectly – you can’t beat the people here!
What do you love most about the Triangle?
I love North Carolina as a whole but the Triangle holds a sweet spot in my heart. There’s no shortage of things to do from swimming in Jordan Lake to going to art museums in Raleigh to eating amazing food in Durham.
What are your career aspirations?
While I am still navigating the specificities of my career, I aspire to be the best anesthesiologist I can be for my future patients. I want to provide them with emotional and physical relief during hard times, as well as have the confidence in my abilities to do so.
What is your go-to fun fact?
I’ve ridden horses my whole life and competed internationally for team USA in South Africa.
If you weren’t an anesthesiologist, what would you be?
A botanist for national parks!
