What drew you to UNC?
I chose UNC because I had heard from several of the prior residents that the program was family friendly, the faculty invested in resident education, and the clinical experience was at the highest level. These reasons have all proven to be true. I have already had several times where the program leadership have gone out of their way to support my family. The complexity of cases and dedication of the faculty has made me feel confident that my time at UNC will more than prepare me for fellowship and eventual practice.
What do you love most about the Triangle?
The accessibility to hiking/outdoors with Eno River State Park, Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, and all of the smaller parks and trail systems. Also, the easily accessible mountains to the west and beach to the east.
What are your career aspirations?
I am currently applying for a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia.
What is your go-to fun fact?
I love playing music on the keyboard/ piano and singing karaoke.
If you weren’t an anesthesiologist, what would you be?
Something in construction or building renovation.
