What drew you to UNC?
I knew UNC provided a well-rounded learning experience with great academics balanced by attractive living conditions. I sought a program that was well respected, and where housing was affordable in a low-key city with outdoor opportunities. I found my education is exceptional, and that I can enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
What do you do for fun?
I like gardening in North Carolina; it’s easy here! Otherwise, anything outdoors with my wife, dog and friends! I walk my dog on the American Tobacco Trail almost daily. Locally, I hike and spend time hammocking at Jordan Lake. My more special outings have been day trips to the beach.
What’s a hobby you’ve picked up since the start of residency?
Improving my woodworking skills by making my patio furniture and dog house with a garden on top.
