Having grown up in a military family, I became used to moving around every few years. Which is how I ended up at UNC after residency, left, and have come back, with plans to stay (forever?). I worked here for nearly 6 years, went back to WCMC to help them open a new ambulatory center then went out to the Pacific Northwest to work in Seattle for almost 4 years. Returned to UNC in January 2023 and hope to stay put!
In my time away from the hospital, I love to spend it traveling around the world with my partner. Or staying closer to home exploring new places in North Carolina, reading a good book, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. My cat, Astro, has traveled with me, and my partner, Andrew, joined us in all the excitement when I lived in NYC.
