Samantha Gottlieb, DO, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and a member of both the Division of General Anesthesia and Division of Regional Anesthesia teams. Dr. Gottlieb completed her anesthesiology residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in 2024 and her fellowship in Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Management at the University of North Carolina.  Originally from New York, she earned her medical degree in 2020 from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gottlieb earned her Master of Science at the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018 via the Academic Medicine Scholarship Program. This program prepares participants for a career in academic medicine through research, teaching, and clinical activities.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Gottlieb is a member of the North Carolina Choral Society and enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
