The Carolina Refresher Course: A unique and enjoyable learning experience in a friendly and relaxed environment utilizing 30-minute lecture sessions, speaker question and answer panels, problem-based learning discussions, and hands-on workshops in point-of-care ultrasound, regional anesthesia, and surgical airway skills. We offer you a faculty of polished guest speakers along with our outstanding UNC faculty in medicine and anesthesiology, who consistently receive rave reviews from our course attendees. The course is designed to provide medical education sessions in the morning with the afternoons free to relax and enjoy the amenities of this lush 10,000 acre privately owned barrier island, with approximately half of this acreage preserved in its natural state. History buffs will enjoy visiting the nearby city of Charleston, South Carolina, the best-preserved colonial city in America and a haven for foodies, featuring outstanding restaurants offering creative southern cuisine.
