Clinical Trials & Investigator Resources

The UNC Anesthesiology Clinical Trials Research Team specializes in the design and conduct of clinical studies involving investigational medications, medical devices, and interventional procedures. Operating within dedicated clinical research spaces at UNC Health Care and the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, the team supports the enrollment and management of a wide patient population under rigorous regulatory and safety standards.

The team partners with Department of Anesthesiology faculty to execute NIH, Non-Profit, Industry-Sponsored trials and Investigator-Initiated studies, advancing research in areas such as pain management, healing from trauma, and perioperative care. The unit is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals, including multiple full-time research coordinators, a regulatory specialist, a program manager, a finance specialist, pre- and post-award specialists, and dedicated administrative support staff.
