To Feed or Not to Feed: Medical Reversal in Food Allergy Prevention

Lecture information: This lecture will review the recent history of food allergy prevention. This will include reviewing the epidemiology of food allergy, the clinical science data supporting infant allergenic food, and controversies regarding population-based recommendations for food allergy prevention.

Speaker information: Dr. Iglesia is currently a clinical fellow in allergy/immunology at UNC Hospitals. Originally from New Jersey, he completed his undergraduate and medical education at Rutgers University and Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, respectively, and subsequently trained at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for combined internal medicine/pediatrics residency. He has additional training in preventive medicine and public health through UNC’s preventive medicine residency, where he completed his MPH in Health Care and Prevention.
His primary clinical and research interests are in clinical and population approaches to food allergy prevention.
