About

Danielle Doughman is a senior program manager with the Carolina Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at the University of North Carolina Medical Center. She has 20 years of experience working in health and development at the state, national, regional, and global levels.

Previously, Danielle worked in tandem with researchers and government officials to bridge the know-do gap in partnership with government ministries on topics from health to education to urbanization. Prior to her international work, Danielle was selected as an ORISE health policy fellow in the Office of Healthcare Quality at the US Department of Health and Human Services and worked in disability policy and advocacy in Georgia. During her tenure as the Board Chair of the National Coalition Building Institute (Atlanta chapter), she was recognized with the Rosa Parks Leadership Award.

Danielle earned a Master of Science in Public Health and a certificate in global health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She was awarded a David A. Winston Health Policy Scholarship during her graduate studies. She completed her BA at Emory University.
