The UNCMC Guideline for monitoring outpatient intravenous and oral antimicrobial therapy (Updated: May 2021. The update replaces “Red Man Syndrome” with “Vancomycin Flushing Syndrome.”
- Protocol for Managing Hypokalemia
The UNC Medical Center developed a protocol for managing hypokalemia in patients enrolled in the UNC OPAT Program.
Its recommendations can be utilized by OPAT clinicians to assess hypokalemia at any time point throughout the patient’s OPAT course. (Updated: March 2020)
