Sanford L. Steelman Graduate Student Fund

Eligibility
This Fund supports graduate students in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who were born in North Carolina. Students born outside of North Carolina are not eligible to receive support from this fund.
What does this fund support?
Eligible students may request support from this fund for travel expenses to a conference or professional development expenses. Awards are made at a maximum of $500 per student per year. Students may only request this award for a maximum of two years.
How to apply for support from this fund?
Requests should be sent to the Department Chair (Kathleen_Caron@med.unc.edu) and the Department Business Manager (Victoria_Morgan@med.unc.edu). Students should include in their request email a justification for how their research/training will benefit from receiving this support.
