Speaker Biography –

The CFAR Adelante Program is funded by the NIH/NIMHD and administered through two NIH-funded Centers for AIDS Research (CFARs): District of Columbia and Emory University.

Collectively, the DC and Emory CFARs provide oversight for three-member Adelante Teams who conduct two-year mentored community-based research projects that focus on reducing HIV health disparities among Hispanic and/or Latina/x/o populations. The CFAR Adelante Program is a cohort model funding mechanism, aimed at enhancing Adelante Scholars’ career development through formal and peer mentoring.
