Resident Ethics Interest Group

The HEC, together with interested residents, has initiated an effort to advance practical ethics education for residents and fellows. This interest group will coordinate efforts in ethics education across resident subspecialties. While distinct from the HEC, the group will include current HEC trainee members and advisors from the HEC faculty membership. The group was created due to increasing resident interest in medical ethics with previously limited opportunities for involvement. Ongoing projects include developing a two-week ethics elective, restructuring trainee appointment to the HEC, and developing both a resident interest group and various online resources for ethics education.
