Administrative Core

The mission of the Administrative Core is to:

  • Provide administrative management for all UNC-CVI scientists and staff to accomplish the short- and long-term goals of the Center
  • Provide a communication conduit to ensure timely sharing of experimental results and scientific breakthroughs
  • Monitor scientific milestones and deliverables to track and report progress with and between Projects
  • Administer the CVI’s Development Research Program to encourage novice investigators to pursue STI vaccine development research.
  • Assist and supplement biostatistical and bioinformatic analyses to Project PIs as well as Developmental Research Project awardees, including protocol development, appropriate statistical techniques for research designs, power and sample size calculations, data management and analysis, developing new modeling and research methodologies, and statistical analysis for manuscripts.
