There will be a multitude of happenings, below are some events specifically cultivated for our SOM Faculty, employees, staff as well as trainees that we hope you will plan to attend.

Well-Being Panel Discussion –
Well-Being: Burnout is a Symptom of A Challenged System –
A discussion of system change efforts from multiple perspectives

Three Chief Well-being Officers visiting from various esteemed healthcare and academic institutions will engage in a meaningful dialogue as we discuss the concept of impacting meaningful system changes to move the needle and improve the culture of well-being while promoting a professionally fulling work environment.

Dr. Nadia Charguia, who oversees the Well-Being program for our healthcare system as well as FALD will moderate a conversation between the following invited guests:

-Bree Andrews, MD, MPH, Chief Well-Being and Vitality Officer, University of Chicago, School of Medicine, University of Chicago, School of Medicine
-Laxmi Mehta, MD, FACC, FAHH, FNLA, Chief Wellness Officer, The Ohio State University, School of Medicine
-Jamile Ashworth, PhD, ABPP, Chief Wellness Officer, Baylor, Scott & White, The Heart Hospital

Well-Being Grand Rounds –
Mind of Medicine: Managing Cognitive Load to Enhance Care (for self as well as those we care for)

Well-Being Leadership Development Workshops 

A series of workshops will be offered to cultivate one’s understanding of the well-being landscape and how to be an impactful leader in this space.

Topics will include making the case for well-being efforts, leading local change, building trust with senior leaders and others.

In celebration of National Hot Chocolate Day (NHCD is Jan 31st) – arrangements will be in made on this eve of NHCD for a hot chocolate bar, coffee and accompanying snacks.
