Kindness vs Niceness: Finding a Balance in the Workplace

We all know it’s important to be nice to colleagues. But what does it mean to be kind to them? Nice and kind aren’t the same, and knowing the difference can transform how you work with others. In this session, we’ll explore when niceness is helpful, when kindness is needed, and how to navigate the grey area between the two. We’ll examine two ted-talks, discuss real world examples, and introduce language to help you express care, offer clarity, and stay connected with colleagues.

Discuss two ted talks on the value of kindness at work
-
Examine a case study where learners might apply the ideas from the ted talks and discuss impacts of different strategies
