“Negotiation Essentials: Advocating for Your Value” is a workshop designed specifically for women and their allies who are interested in improving their negotiation skills in professional settings. This interactive session will empower participants to confidently assert their value and negotiate effectively in scenarios ranging from salary discussions to resource allocation and leadership roles.
Target Audience: SOM faculty, graduate and medical students, residents and post-doctoral students and allies

Objectives
- Understand the Basics of Negotiation: Learn the key principles of negotiation, including preparation, communication strategies, and common techniques used in successful negotiations.
- Recognize and Overcome Gender Biases: Explore how gender dynamics can impact negotiation outcomes and learn strategies to navigate and counteract potential biases.
- Advocate Effectively: Develop skills to articulate your value clearly and persuasively, using evidence-based practices and assertive communication
