Join us for a dynamic panel featuring current and former department chairs from across the SOM as they share their unique professional journeys into academic leadership. This conversation will explore the pivotal decisions, defining moments, and personal characteristics that shaped their paths to becoming chairs. Panelists will offer candid insights into the challenges and rewards of the role, as well as practical advice for faculty members considering this leadership trajectory. Whether you’re actively exploring the chair role or simply curious about what it entails, this session will provide valuable perspectives on what it takes to lead a SOM department effectively.
