Wake Med – Grand Rounds – Let’s Get Physical! Effective & Efficient Methods for Teaching Physical Examination at the Bedside

Save the date for the upcoming Pediatrics Grand Rounds with Eric Zwemer, MD on July 17th from 8:00 – 9:00AM – Andrews Conference Center Rooms 6 & 7 (corrected location).
Despite advances in medicine, the physical exam remains a crucial component of patient care. Efficient and effective strategies for teaching the exam are needed to ensure that learners at all levels become skilled in physical diagnosis.

In this engaging, hands-on workshop, participants will explore three physical exam bedside teaching techniques that are efficient, effective, and fun for incorporation into their workflow.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify barriers to teaching the physical exam at the bedside
  2. Compare and contrast different strategies for teaching the physical exam at the bedside
  3. Apply strategies for teaching the physical exam at the bedside in their clinical setting
