Workshop – Everyday Ethics: Teaching Ideas for Your Busy Day

Save the date and register for the workshop “Everyday Ethics: Teaching Ideas for Your Busy Day” (formerly advertised as “Adding Practical Ethics to Curriculum in the Classroom and at the Bedside”) with Arlene Davis, RN, JD on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 4:00 – 5:00PM in Bondurant G010.

Session Objectives:

  1. Review the relationship of ethics teaching to existing UGME and GME curricula and to aspects of professional practice including burnout.
  2. Discuss the moral approaches often used in teaching and examples of vocabulary to consider.
  3. Identify ways to “outsource” ethics teaching to colleagues and trainees
  4. Identify at least one ethics principle you might incorporate into your teaching
