Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP) is designed to assist junior faculty at UNC within their first 3 years build a sense of community, purpose, direction, and confidence so they may thrive in their career. LAMP addresses the fundamentals of career planning and professional development while creating networking opportunities that contribute to success.

LAMP meets monthly and includes 9 interactive sessions with guest speakers from across campus giving dedicated one half-day for their professional growth. Each month, the session concludes with small group coaching with the same specially trained coach.

After graduating from LAMP, alumni are offered quarterly continuity coaching for the year following their LAMP cohort year. This time is used to share successes and challenges they have experienced since graduating and receive guidance and support from the coach as well as fellow alumni.

The goals of LAMP are to:

  • provide skill building and resources for career success in an academic medicine setting
