LCDR Dr. Matthew Hall, 2018 graduate of UNC’s Preventive Medicine Residency, was honored as one of the Henry M Jackson Foundation’s (HJM) 2021 Heroes of Military Medicine for his front-line work in response to Sars-COV-2 as the BUMED preventive medicine and public health policy advisor as well as his numerous COVID contact investigations, outbreak response oversight, and advisement on the safe operations of Navy installations worldwide under pandemic precautions.
