A Live Virtual Interactive Education Series

UNC Department of Family Medicine and Piedmont Health Services are hosting a Behavioral Health TeleMentoring series for primary care providers focused on culturally responsive practices for Latinx people. This series will increase awareness, knowledge, and skills around best practices for Latinx mental health treatment in the primary care setting.

This series will be held alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12pm to 1pm starting on June 29, 2021 through June 27, 2023. *See detailed schedule at the bottom of this page for exact dates.

By participating in this series, you will be able to:

  • describe current best practices for Latinx mental health treatment
  • have a chance to analyze patient case studies in mental health care particular to Latinx people
  • review the unique qualities of Latinx people with mental illness

Content expertise provided by El Futuro, Inc. El Futuro is a nonprofit outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive mental health services for Latinx families in a bilingual environment of healing and hope.

To submit a case presentation for consideration to be used during a session, please complete the case presentation form and return the completed form via email to Kelsey by 12pm the Friday prior to the session –  kelseyrd@email.unc.edu. Please use this completed example case to guide you.
