Research Interests

Key words: Human molecular genetics, cancer genetics, genetic instability in cultured cells

I have retired from research and no longer have an active laboratory. During my current three-year period of phased retirement, in addition to teaching, my major activities are in faculty development and promotions in the Department of Genetics and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Although I am stepping down as Director of the UNC Postdoctoral Program in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, I continue to be involved in the education of clinical laboratory fellows.
