The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, sponsored by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, honors a faculty member “who best demonstrates the Foundation’s ideals of outstanding compassion in the delivery of care; respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues; and clinical excellence.”

The UNC School of Medicine Class of 2016 selected Keisha Gibson, MD, MPH for this award, which she was given at the School of Medicine Commencement.

Dr. Gibson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. She is also the Program Director for the Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship.
