The Department of Health Sciences is excited to welcome new and returning students from each of our divisions and programs to campus for our annual New Student Orientation on August 17 and for the first day of classes on August 21.
As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first group of Health Sciences students beginning their academic journeys at UNC, we are reminded of the history, learning and achievements that have shaped our department since its founding in 1972.
We look forward to seeing you and kicking off the new school year – welcome (back) to the Department of Health Sciences!
Orientation Details

Time: 12-3:15 p.m.
Location: Bondurant Hall, G100 & Genome Sciences, G200
The orientation will begin in Bondurant Hall and will end in Genome Science building. Make sure to first check in at the check-in table in Bondurant Hall.
Please bring your own water bottle – filling stations and water fountains are available throughout the building.
