Seven third year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students volunteered at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in Anaheim, CA. CSM is a national physical therapy conference that brings together clinicians, researchers, and students from across the country.
During the event, our student volunteers assisted with attendee check-in, helped direct participants to educational sessions, and supported event setup and breakdown. In addition to their volunteer responsibilities, they had the opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers—PT students representing programs from across the nation.
UNC third-year student volunteer Abby Farrell shared, “We were volunteering with other PT students, so it was a lot of fun to be able to connect with people from all over the US.”
