UNC Health Appalachian Residency Site

The UNC Department of Health Sciences in the School of Medicine and UNCH Rehabilitation Services Residencies are excited to expand their program with a clinical site in the beautiful mountains of Boone, NC.

We are actively recruiting the first resident in orthopedics at the UNC Health Appalachian site who will start in September 2026.

The orthopedic residency applicants in 2026 are considered for this unique opportunity to serve the health and well-being of people in western North Carolina and surrounding communities.
