Dr. Szilagyi is a physician and clinical researcher who has dedicated large portion his career to improving access to healthcare for vaccine delivery in primary care. His research has pioneered national recommendations for financing vaccines, evidence-based primary care measures to maximize vaccine uptake, and a renewed focus on HPV vaccines. Dr. Szilagyi has served on the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to make recommendations about vaccinations. Additionally, he has advised the CDC and federal and state policy-makers on accessibility and immunization efforts among various populations.
