The Human Pluripotent Cell Core services are designed to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery and application in the field of stem cell research by providing researchers with access to high-quality iPSCs, differentiated cells, and expert support.

The Human Pluripotent Cell Core offers the following services:

  • Cell reprogramming: Generation of iPSCs from patient or donor-derived cells using various reprogramming techniques
  • Cell line characterization: Comprehensive characterization of iPSC lines, including pluripotency marker expression, genomic stability, and differentiation potential.
  • Cell expansion: Comprehensive characterization of iPSC lines, including pluripotency marker expression, genomic stability, and differentiation potential.
  • Cryopreservation and banking: Cryopreservation and storage services for iPSCs and differentiated cells for future use.
  • Cell differentiation services: Directed differentiation of iPSCs into specific cell types, such as neurons, cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes, endothelial cells, neutrophils.
  • Custom differentiation protocol development: Development of custom protocols for the differentiation of iPSCs into cell types not covered by standard services.
  • 3D culture and organoid formation: Three-dimensional (3D) culture systems to form organoids or tissue-like structures for more complex disease modeling or tissue engineering applications.
  • Drug screening and toxicity testing: Utilizing differentiated cells for high-throughput screening of therapeutic compounds or for assessing drug toxicity.
  • Genome editing: Utilizing CRISPR/Cas9, TALENs, or other genome editing technologies to introduce or correct genetic mutations within iPSCs for disease modeling or therapeutic development.
  • Reporter cell lines: Using CRIPSR technology to introduce fluorescent proteins in-frame on the endogenous genes.
  • Gene regulation services: ZFP, TALENs CRISPR/Cas9 technologies can be used to alter gene regulation when coupled with activators, repressors or chromatin remodeling enzymes. Full service includes design, construction and testing gene regulation in any mammalian cell type.
  • Consultation: Providing expert consultation on project design, feasibility and execution.
  • Research support: Support on manuscript preparation, collaborative gran applications and letters of support.
  • Quality control of cellular products: Performing rigorous quality control tests on iPSC lines and differentiated cells to ensure they meet high standards of purity, viability, and functionality.
  • Culture medium and reagents. The facility offers a range of validated reagents and specialized culture medium for iPSCs and differentiated cells.
