Dr. Ashley Sutton is a Pediatric Hospitalist and Professor of Pediatrics at the UNC School of Medicine. She serves as the physician co-lead for the Children’s Safety Committee and the Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Patient Flow for the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. During her time on faculty she has led efforts throughout UNC Children’s focusing on improving care and systems, with a particular focus on patient transfers and throughput. She has a particular interest in fostering meaningful resident QI participation and has mentored and led multiple projects that have resulted in local and national presentation and publication opportunities for trainees.
