Dr. Carlton Moore completed Medical School at Cornell University Medical College and his Internal Medicine residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Moore is currently a Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Associate Chief for Quality Improvement and Research for the division. Along with having master’s degrees in both electrical engineering and biostatistics, Dr. Moore is board certified in clinical informatics. The focus of his work has been using health information technology to improve healthcare quality and patient safety. He has published papers on topics as diverse as using natural language processing to identify abnormal imaging studies to evaluating the association between cognitive workload and medical errors in the performance of tasks in electronic health records. Dr. Moore has a wide range of mentoring experience and has mentored students completing their MPH and PhD theses, as well as house staff and junior faculty.
