Joy Martin, MPH, PMP, is a Quality Analyst with the Institute for Healthcare Quality Improvement at UNC Health. Drawing on her background in public health and health behavior, she supports strategic initiatives, quality improvement education, and professional development programs designed to strengthen improvement capability across the health system. Joy is particularly interested in understanding factors that influence patient outcomes and helping teams identify opportunities to address disparities in healthcare delivery and care outcomes. In 2024, she received UNC Health’s Rising Star Award in recognition of her contributions to guiding IHQI-supported teams in discussions about health disparities and strategies to reduce variations in care across patient populations.
