Lisa Michelson is a fourth-year medical student from New Bern, NC who is pursuing Internal Medicine. After working off-and-on in both clinical and academic research for the past decade, Lisa became a Clinician Leadership in Quality and Safety (CLQS) Scholar; the concentration aligns with her personal interest in bringing immediate improvements to healthcare delivery and overall health outcomes. Lisa will be working with Drs. Olm-Shipman and Mock, as well as the resident House Staff Council, to either bring back UNC Hospital’s Interdisciplinary Morbidity and Mortality Conferences or further understand the reasons for its discontinuation following COVID’s impact at UNC hospital.
