Dr. Michelle Itano, Director of the UNC Neuroscience Microscopy Core facility, earns the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Grant to continue the innovative imaging work in order to help increase the interactions between biologists and technology experts and improve imaging tools for the scientific community at UNC-Chapel Hill.

UNC Health Care received the 2018 HIMSS Davies Enterprise Award for its innovative utilization of health information technology to advance patient outcomes and value by centralizing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) procedure reporting.

The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) awarded UNC Medical Center Department of Pharmacy an Innovator Award for implementing the drug vial optimization program, an innovative strategy for drug delivery that led to significant positive financial, safety, and clinical outcomes.
