Purpose of The National Volunteer Registry

It is imperative that sexual assault survivors are provided the best possible care and supportive interventions after assault. The Better Tomorrow Network’s National Research Volunteer Registry is an innovative platform designed to revolutionize the discovery of new treatments for survivors.

What Is The National Volunteer Registry?

The Better Tomorrow Network’s National Research Volunteer Registry connects sexual assault survivors who are interested in research opportunities with cutting-edge research studies. These studies are a powerful way to greatly improve the care of sexual assault survivors. By making research participation more accessible to survivors, the BTN Registry will substantially accelerate the pace at which effective treatments can be discovered and made widely available to survivors.

The Registry began recruiting survivors in 2023 and has rapidly grown. Twenty-three sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) programs across the United States are now sharing information about the Registry with their patients. To date, over 400 survivors have been invited to sign up for the Registry, with over 190 opting to enroll. The Registry is now supporting recruitment efforts for four BTN studies
