This year’s Match Day Ceremony celebrating the graduating class of 2026 will be held on:

March 20, 2026 at 11:00 am

The event will be held in-person and live streamed right here on this website. The in-person event will be held at:

Match Day Info

We look forward to celebrating with you at the UNC SOM Match Day Celebration on March 20, 2026! Event activities begin at 10:00 AM in Roper Hall.

Schedule of events

10:00 – 11:00 AM: Photo ops, gifts from the Medical Alumni Association (MAA)
11:15 AM: Match Day Celebration program begins (agenda to come)
11:55 AM: Envelope distribution
Noon: Countdown to the envelope opening, UNC Match 2026 slideshow broadcast and livestreamed

Parking and transportation to Roper Hall

Recommended parking is in Rams Head Parking Deck. Parking is at guests’ own expense.

However, please enjoy our complimentary shuttle service by Carolina Livery to and from Roper Hall from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pick up will be on the first floor of the Rams Head Parking Deck.

There is a bus pull-in directly to the right outside of the deck which will be used for pick up and drop off. See image.

Off-campus parking

Guests can enjoy free Chapel Hill Transit from the Friday Center Park and Ride lot ($2.00 per vehicle to park via the ParkMobile website or app) on the FCX bus to the Health Sciences Library stop just a three-minute walk from Roper Hall. This bus runs every 5-15 minutes during the day.

Photography, audio, and video recording will occur during this event. By entering the event premises, you consent to the UNC School of Medicine using photo, video, and audio of your participation in the event.
