About
I am a board-certified cardiologist and epidemiologist with a strong commitment to cardiovascular prevention. In my role as the director of the preventive cardiology clinic and co-director of cardio-oncology, I focus on lifestyle and pharmacologic interventions for the prevention and treatment of heart disease. My research centers on longitudinal changes in exercise and fitness as biomarkers of health, as well as the potential of wearable device data to predict early declines in fitness and premature heart disease. Additionally, I lead initiatives aimed at assessing and intervening early to reduce cardiovascular disease risk across our healthcare system. This includes testing novel therapies and deploying clinical trials to accelerate and personalize cardiovascular prevention care.
