Areas of Interest
Dr. Cole’s clinical interests include inpatient general medicine as well as bedside procedures. She is interested in bedside ultrasound as an inexpensive and powerful diagnostic tool, especially as the technology becomes smaller and more readily available, and medical student education.
About
I am a nocturnist with the division of hospital medicine. I admit new patients overnight and provide coverage for previously admitted patients, both at UNC-CH and at Hillsborough hospital. I also am one of the tutors for PCC, which is a longitudinal course for 1st and 2nd year medical students. This course teaches them how to interview and examine patients, and how to apply all the basic science they learn to the clinical setting.
